Whilst on the way to Upminster Station with the knife arch we came across an abandoned vehicle half on/off the pavement opposite Hornchurch Station. Officers made enquiries and quickly discovered the vehicle had recently been stolen from Rush Green. The suspect had stopped on the way to get some fuel, not paid for and obviously not enough. Hence why he abandoned the vehicle. Whilst an officer went to get the keys from the owner, so that the vehicle could be moved, the others directed traffic to keep the vehicles flowing safely.
